Today I had an opportunity to go fishing with some of the kids in the Christian Surfer Outreach program. One saturday a month, this group takes a bunch of local kids, mainly from westside Costa Mesa, down to 68th st. and teaches them to surf.The owner of "El Jefe", a very nice 44ft fishing machine, offered to take some of the kids fishing and I got to tag along.We left early in a light fog and had a smooth crossing, glassy and no swell, and fished for4-5 hrs catching mainly small bonita.
