Sunny all day, cool with wispy clouds , solid south swell but winds on it early. Pretty day at the beach!

Memorial Day

A sunny morning with no wind, but yesterdays 25 MPH west winds had things pretty messed up ,  (crowded too? )and the water really cold. I stayed ashore with a nice cup of coffee.

summer`s coming

Evening surf check, some swell but too windy, salt air and wood smoke from beach bonfires, golden sunset. Nice close to the day. Thank you Lord.

Funkish

Weird swell mix and south wind today, surfed 1/2 hr maybe and went back to work.

Surfable

I had time to surf today but the south wind wasn`t helping much.By the time I got down there it was crumbly and low-tide shape was off. Hope for tomorrow

 Here are more shots from last week, still processing the whole experience mentally,an amazing adventure. We didn`t solve any big problems or change the world all that much, but we made life a little better for them (and ourselves) Thanks Lord

Haiti 2011

I got home early this morning after a long travel day, and haven`t been able to make a photo album of the trip yet. So many moments and images to process mentally, the trip was a huge blessing and heartbreaking at the same time. I know I am very glad for the experience and received much more than I gave. God is good!

re-entry

Long travel day ended at midnight ,slept awhile but the body is still on east coast time, got up early to surf. It felt good to catch some waves and I had time to sort through the thoughts from the past week in Haiti. I`ll process my photo`s and put some up later today.
