solo surf

The rain stopped late morning so I ran out to see if there might be a window of surf opportunity, found a nice little wave all to myself, mostly close-outs but always the hope for something more.I didn`t get many good ones but it was a pretty afternoon in the water and rare to have it all to myself.

Cloudy and windy early, there`s a good south running but conditions were questionable. I drank my coffee and headed home for church. 
 
 

A life well lived

Today was the memorial celebration for Mike Marshall, and it was an amazing testimony that hundreds of people attended. Mike touched so many lives and was such a positive force to those who knew him.Hundreds paddled out to watch his family scatter Mikes ashes on the water and celebrated the life Mike had lived so well.
( There must have been a mile of Marshalls and Harbours laid out on the beach today)

US Congressman seems unclear on the geologic nature of islands,who voted this guy in? will they re-elect him?.... and he got to vote on healthcare reform.

high tide and soft

Surf was blown early today, I did surf yesterday. It wasn`t much but was good for the head. It was really soft, soft as a loaf of fresh Wonder bread, soft as that spot on a newborns head ( fontanelle), soft as Hugh Hefner without...well, you get the picture
