Hacked

 
The south wind blew all night and had things hacked early, went to work knowing I wasn`t missing anything

Today was just too nice to not go back down and get in the water, the tide had helped some. still weak, but it was good to get wet and get some exercise in nice surroundings

It was a beautiful clear morning but the negative tide and weak swell left everyone in the parking lot telling stories...

It was stil pretty weak out there this morning, looks like a good day to get some work done.

Took the morning off to surf but the south wind had it hacked early, small and crumbly. Makes me wish I could go somewhere warm for a few days,like these old scrapbook shots

I made time to surf this morning but didn`t get out there. Morning bump on small windswell wasn`t exciting. It got better when the tide filled in but I was working by then. I`ll try again tomorrow.

The day started pretty cold, but no wind blowing and the windswell cleaned up a bit. I had to get to the jobsite this AM and was unable to surf early. The west wind was on it by the time I got back.

The surf was pretty weak this morning, spent some time walking around looking at surf culture at the pier

Kind of cold this morning but there was some fun surf. I didn`t surf well but did say "thanks Lord" for the ones I caught

The first inaugural event last year revealed some hollow waves usually reserved for the Navy boys. This years contest we will be a 2 day affair at the end of August 

President Obama comes to town

Just a few hundred in the lot outside, some knuckleheads looking to get in front of a camera, listened to the town hall on a radio. It was fun, it`s not everyday the President comes to town,

Finally got back in the water today. The swell is dropping but still had plenty of waves and the mid-morning crowd was managable. I surfed an hour, then rinsed my feet in a puddle, dried with a damp towel, combed my hair with a wax comb and headed back to work!

The south wind was blowing before daybreak and conditions were poor from the start,head-high swell going to waste.

 

Today...

Today didn`t look anything like this picture. Cold, gray , weak , dribbly are just a few of the adjectives that apply to todays surf. I`m going to Colorado for a few days and will miss the south swell coming in. I hope it lasts to Monday.

Pretty morning but not much surf, it`s a good day to get some work done.

No surf today,looked early and then went to church, spent the day relaxing with the family.

Very short-period windswell rolling in today with the wind out of the south early, I chose to stand on the pier and watch today. It`s cold out there.

Things were weak and jumbled this morning. The wind will be on it before I can get away from the job so no surf today. It was a pretty sunrise.

 
 
Checked my IRA account this evening, ....hell, who wants to retire anyway
