A short go after lunch was fun, SW swell made for fun little sliders. Grabbed 1/2 a dozen and then hustled back to work 
 

Weekday surf !!

 
I finally had a day to slip away from work and surf mid-morning, the shape was good and I got more waves than a 55 yr old guy should expect. Felt great after surfing, hard to put a price on that kind of therapy.

road trip to dad`s

Spent a short two days helping my Dad around his house in the Sierra`s. Fun but kind of emotional weekend, as he gets older it`s hard for him to keep the house and yard maintained and I wonder about his driving, how much longer can he live alone up there? what happens when his dogs pass? (they are 15 & 16 yrs respectively)He knows he can live with us but Orange County just doesn`t suit him anymore.It`s sad but a normal part of life that I`ll just have to work through. One day my kids will be asking the same questions about me.

I was too busy to surf today, but checked it early and was pleased to see signs of new swell coming in. Hope for tomorrow and some free time.

feelin` groovy

We actually had a little surf today, it was drained early with a light rain falling. I did a drive-by at the river after 2pm and was surprised to see it waist high and fairly clean. The wind was up when I got back with my board but went out anyway. The water felt great, I got a few fun sections and then headed home feelin` pretty happy.
