A sunny morning with no wind, but yesterdays 25 MPH west winds had things pretty messed up , (crowded too? )and the water really cold. I stayed ashore with a nice cup of coffee.

Haiti slideshow
Here are more shots from last week, still processing the whole experience mentally,an amazing adventure. We didn`t solve any big problems or change the world all that much, but we made life a little better for them (and ourselves) Thanks Lord

Haiti 2011
I got home early this morning after a long travel day, and haven`t been able to make a photo album of the trip yet. So many moments and images to process mentally, the trip was a huge blessing and heartbreaking at the same time. I know I am very glad for the experience and received much more than I gave. God is good!

Haiti trip 2011
I`m traveling to Haiti tonight , with a group of 10 others, to spend next week in the Port au Prince area. Some of our group will be providing medical service in local clinics, while I`ll be helping the water safety team, constructing rainwater catchment systems and providing Sawyer filtration systems. I`m not overly proficient at any of these things but feel a desire to go help. I know God is able to use the small efforts of ordinary people to do big things and I want to be part of it. Please pray for our time in Haiti.

Haiti`11
I`ll be going back to Haiti in a week, not exactly sure what our job is this year, we`re just trying to be prepared for whatever God puts on our hearts and in our path. We`re focusing on clean water techniques and education, (cholera affected many earlier this year) and installing some water catchment projects. It rains buckets there in no time. The trick is to catch it, store it and clean it for future use.The water we take for granted and waste here is precious and life-sustaining there.
