finally felt like summer today

wanted to surf today but the SW swell isn`t coming in very user-friendly, walled close-outs in the sets

Sunday drive

Didn`t feel like surf this morning, took a drive instead and watched others surf.

Smooth conditions with at least 2 swells in the water, they didn`t always mix well, but there were some good ones if you waited on it.

Grey and drizzly but clean conditions, walled on sets but I got a few good rides on the in-betweeners. Water felt cold again

I wanted to surf today but just couldn`t get excited about what was out there. The winds came up early and made it worse.

bagged it

Surf was funky and weak today, decided to try the surf mat again, because I just wanted to get in the water. I caught a few waves on it but I`m still not sure how to get this thing down the line.

lowtide drainage

Smooth and glassy this AM with a negative lowtide, this guy handled it all nicely.I chased the wrong wave for about an hour and then went to work.

Finally smooth this AM, low tide walls but a few good sections

Friday evening

Went south after work, marginal surf in beautiful surroundings, and a nice way to close out the work week.

gloomy grey again with south wind, hope it lays down later or maybe I`ll go south.

S.E. wind blowin` in the bedroom window early told me it wasn`t going to be glassy. Walled and lumpy so I just went to work. It had some size on the sets.

9am building south swell on a rising tide with a side order of southwind crumble.45 minutes and back to work

Another morning of small and weak with south winds texturing things. I guess I`ll just have to go out anyway and make the most of it.

trip south

I had to make a work-related trip to Del Mar today, so tossed the board in hoping for a surf on the way down, it just didn`t look like it was worth the hike in this morning

36 hrs maybe in the Sierra`s, went up to visit my Dad and help fix a few things at his house. Beautiful as usual. I would have liked to stay longer but must work tomorrow.

SW pulse

Got a fun hour in this morning, no south winds early and smooth conditions prevailed. Shape was walled at times but some good sections were to be had.

Early birds

Bigger and smoother than forecast, with the crowd slow to arrive. The early birds got some real good worms!
